LaDawna has enjoyed a rewarding 25-year career in education. Before becoming the Early Childhood Department Head at Community Care College, she worked to ensure children in Tulsa and surrounding areas had equal access to quality early childhood education. LaDawna has taught children of all ages in childcare programs, early/head start, and public schools. She has also led teachers, supporting their growth and advocating for quality education and academic success for children and families.
LaDawna holds an Associate’s Degree in Elementary Education from Tulsa Community College, a Bachelor of Arts in Education from Langston University, and a Master’s Degree in Education from Northeastern State University. She also has credentials including the national Child Development Associate, Oklahoma Director’s Credential, and Teacher License with the Oklahoma Department of Education. Her extensive knowledge in Early Childhood Education ensures her students are prepared to create environments supporting children’s physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development. As a fourth-generation teacher, LaDawna believes that working in education is one of the most rewarding career choices.
